I was only three months old,
You were a man in your twenties,
I weighed fifteen pounds,
You were well over two hundred,
I cried for I was tired and hungry,
You shook me for you were tired and angry,
I died as a result of your actions,
You live with memories of your actions,
I am in a divinely created Heaven,
You reside in a Hell designed by yourself.

I learned about shaken baby syndrome in school. Such a terrible thing.
It really is. It devastates so many lives, and half the time it is not completely intentional. So sad. Thanks for commenting!!!!

Thank-you. I haven’t written a poem in forever.
why not? you’re good at it clearly.
A very powerful poem. You clearly have a gift.
